NEWS RELEASE – The Vision Show – May 8, 2012 – National Instruments today announced the Vision Specialty for NI Alliance Partner Networkmembers who specialize in imaging and vision systems. The Vision Specialty includes NI Alliance Partners with experience in a range of industries, including consumer goods, food and beverage, pharmaceutics, robotics, electronics, automotive, semiconductor and medical imaging.

NEWS RELEASE – May 1, 2012– National Instruments today announced the promotion of Jin Bains to vice president of research and development of RF products. With nearly 20 years of expertise, Bains has consistently demonstrated outstanding global leadership in RF technology product innovation at NI.

Prior to his promotion, Bains served as director of R&D and led rigorous product development, guided technology acquisitions and expanded the work of NI engineering centers. He previously worked at Hewlett-Packard and Agilent Technologies in various roles, including R&D project management on RF and baseband test instruments. Bains earned a Master of Science degree in electrical engineering from Stanford University where his emphasis area was communications systems, and a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from the University of California at Davis where he focused on RF/microwave circuits and systems.

Siemens expands capacity range of electrolyzer product portfolio for water disinfection

The Siemens Industry Automation Division has added four tubular cell electrolyzer systems to its water disinfection portfolio. The new Osec B-Pak products have an enhanced, compact construction and a newly designed electrolyzer cell. The tubular cell electrolyzer systems from Siemens generate a 0.8 percent sodium hypochlorite solution from water and salt for disinfecting drinking, process and swimming pool water....
