NEWS RELEASE – May 1, 2012 – National Instruments today introduced the NI PXIe-1066DC 18-slot chassis, which adds high-availability features to the PXI Express platform to maximize system uptime. These features improve the system-level mean time before failure (MTBF) and mean time to repair (MTTR) of PXI systems in many demanding, mission-critical test, measurement and control applications. The chassis adds critical component redundancy and remote monitoring to the uptime-focused capabilities of existing NI PXI instrumentation.

Now available, the XV102 series touch display PLCs, which offer a high-performance HMI/PLC with an integrated SmartWire-DT master.
The high-performance HMI/PLC is available with 3.5 inch as well as 5.7 inch and 7 inch colour screens.
In addition to the SmartWire-DT master interface, all devices feature an Ethernet port, a USB port and an SD card slot. The 5.7 inch and 7 inch devices also feature an RS485 and an optional CANopen or PROFIBUS DP interface.
Together with the I/O modules, particularly attractive SmartWire-DT system solutions in terms of functionality and cost can be implemented: The via SmartWire-DT universal networked communication – from the HMI/PLC right into the operating level – is still unique on the market.
